Alameda Towne Centre (previously known as South Shore Shopping Center) has served Alameda and its neighbors for a half a century. Located at the crossroads of Otis Drive and Park Street on Alameda Island, the 573,000 square-foot, newly re-branded Alameda Towne Centre just completed their master-planned expansion and redevelopment. Designed as a community center and gathering place for the residents of Alameda and the surrounding areas, the Centre is also home to anchor stores such as – Kohl's, Borders, Trader Joe's, Beverly's, Safeway, Old Navy, TJ Maxx, and Bed Bath & Beyond. Other stores include, Ross Dress For Less, Panera Bread, Pagano’s Hardware, The Children's Place, Dress Barn, Massage Envy, Nine West, Zeytini Restaurant and Bar, Chipotle, Jamba Juice, and Daphne's Greek Café. For a full list of stores please view our website directory page.
We have worked hard to redevelop our shopping center into one that Alameda can call its own. Our unique, open-air shopping environment provides an experience like no other. We offer open air promenades creating a relaxing atmosphere to shop, read a book, eat, or just a place to de-stress and unwind. The interior mall's center court is complimented with a custom-designed fountain created by a well-known Bay Area artist. This fun and whimsical fountain harmonize with our lush landscaping of several types of exotic greenery, creating pure serenity.
